Golf Tips For Getting Lessons or Instruction
Golf is not a sport where you can pick up a club and be able to hit the ball straight and long. It is a sport that takes time, enjoyment and practise to be able to master. The golf swing is a mechanical swing designed to hit the golf ball as far as it can possibly go. The grip on the club is designed to keep the club straight and through on impact to stop slicing and hooking. The stance is designed for the player to be at the optimum height to strike the ball, keeping your back straight, and being able to adjust the height the ball goes by simply moving your feet. It is not a sport that was invented over night. The best way to improve your golf is to have lessons, be it a DVD or a professional at a golf club. You need to be taught the basics, the tough shots, bunker shots, chipping and many other shots you may find on a golf course. This makes golf seem less fun; but once you have been taught how to do all of these things you can go out onto the course and play golf and practice and keep on improving them. The lessons do not need to be long, because as soon as you are taught how to do these different shots, then you are able to go onto the course, or driving range and practice.
There are two major ways to get lessons or instruction and they are in person, or on your television. In person you can ask friends who play golf, or who may be better than you to give you pointers or advice. Alternatively you can get lessons at local golf clubs around the world from club professionals. They can be your mentor, and can over the course of 1 or 2 hours lessons teach you the ropes of golf, as they have been professionally qualified to teach you. If you decide to use your television, then you can buy DVD box sets on how to improve your golf, or alternatively buy courses on the internet that you can watch. These are both cheaper ways of learning than going to a club professional, and if you follow what they say, they can be very helpful. You can buy courses of DVD’s on a range of different shots and scenario’s all designed to help you shoot scores that keep getting lower and lower.
